Stainless Steel Tying Wire

Description

Austenitic stainless steel Tying wire is produced from 1.2mm diameter Austenitic stainless steel, Annealed, grade 304, and for heavy corrosion applications, grade 316 stainless steel is available to special order.

Application

For normal construction applications, stainless steel tying wire is used to eliminate the rust staining associated with conventional carbon steel wire encroaching into the concrete cover. The usual wire thickness is 1.2mm, other diameters are available to special order. Smaller diameters are frequently used within the insulation industry as lacing wire for durability purposes. Typically this is either 0.7mm or 0.9mm.

Quality

All of the steel supplied by Penistone Reinforcements Ltd is from the Italian mill Cogne Acciai Specialai SRL which has receontly been awarded certification by UK CARES for concrete reinforcement products affirming our continued commitment to quality.

Packaging

With the increased emphasis on safety and cost control, the 2Kg coil has been introduced.

Added to this is an improvement in site safety and yield loss because of partially used coils becoming unusable. Tying wire is supplied in standard 25kg and 2kg catch weight coils, by the pallet or in individual coils.

Stock

Penistone Reinforcements Ltd not ony hold a full stock of stainless reinforcing bar, in grades 1.4301 and 1.4436 but also offer a comprehensive Cut and Bend service. This enables rebar to be supplied at mill prices and be delivered direct to your site. Service is assured with access to over 2000 tonnes of stock in the UK as well as the production facilities of the Rolling Mill in Italy.
